Lata Wonders Blog Uses Fusion Dance Project Recital Photo

Fusion Dance Project Performance of "The Lion Sleeps Tonight"Part of having your images listed under a Creative Commons license on Flickr is that sometimes they’re used outside of the spirit the photo was taken with.  For example, today’s thanks goes to Lata Wonders for using an image from my niece’s first dance recital.  It’s not an image with my niece in it, but with other performers from Fusion Dance Project in Hayward, CA performing a routine to “The Lion Sleeps Tonight”.  The thrust of the article is about letting kids be kids instead of shuttling them from activity to activity…while using a picture of my niece’s single extra-curricular activity.  All interesting points though!

I like her last statement.

Let children dream their dreams , choose their own paths, and dare to be different — perhaps bare foot and fancy free like a fairy or elf from the enchanted forest.

You can read the whole article here on Lata Wonders: Little Einsteins or Drones?

You can see all of the photos I’ve taken in the past few years at my niece’s dance recitals in my Joy & Colin Adventures album on Flickr
